The gutters of your house are important. They help to protect your house and the foundation because they collect all the water that falls down on your roof and funnel it down into a downspout that pours the water out and away from your foundation. When your gutters start to fail, you need to make sure that they are repaired or replaced. When the gutter installers come out to your house to do their work, you want to make sure that they are able to do their work safely and on schedule. That means that you are going to need to do some work so that the installers have access to the sides of your house and the roof. 

Move Everything Out

If you have a lot of stuff up against the sides of your house like grills, toys, hoses, or decorations, you should pull everything out from the house and place it elsewhere in your yard. The reason for this is that the installers are going to need to have space to put their ladders so that they can reach the area where the gutters are to be installed. Having the space around your house cleaned out will also give the installers the space they need to stage and install the gutters. If you have already cleaned up the space for them, then the installers are going to be able to get straight to work. 

Watch Your Dogs

If you have dogs that are used to running out without a leash into a fenced yard, you will likely want to do something else with them while the gutter installers are at your house. No matter how friendly your dogs are, they may feel a little more growly with people who are in their territory. Plus, dogs running around loose might jiggle ladders or knock into power equipment when it's being used. That may mean that you need to take your dogs out on a leash or send them to doggy daycare on the days that the gutter installers are at your house.

You also need to make sure that you are ready for the installers to come out to your house and do the work.
